ACCIONA has been awarded the Top Employer 2026 certification in twelve of its key markets, as well as Top Employers North America and the Enterprise Seal, recognising its excellence in Human Resources management. This certification reflects ACCIONA’s commitment to promoting the values of respect, equal opportunities, diversity, merit, leadership, and continuous communication.

ACCIONA’s 16-month Co-op Program is our flagship Canadian talent initiative and the primary pathway through which we develop and hire emerging professionals on their 3rd year of university.

The program offers students a deeply immersive, hands-on experience, preparing them for meaningful careers in the infrastructure and sustainability sectors.

At ACCIONA we recognize that this extended co-op term provides an unparalleled opportunity for you to blend your academic knowledge with real-world application.

During this immersive period, you'll have the chance to delve deep into your chosen field, gaining valuable hands-on experience and truly immerse yourself in our organization, building a strong understanding of our culture, projects, and industry dynamics.

Expect to take on meaningful responsibilities, work on substantial projects, and develop a well-rounded skill set that will set you up for a successful career post-graduation. In addition to the professional growth, you'll also enjoy the chance to form lasting connections with colleagues, mentors, and fellow students, enhancing your professional network.

This co-op term isn't just an opportunity – it's a transformative journey that bridges the gap between academia and the professional world, giving you the confidence, skills, and experiences you need to excel as you approach your final year of undergraduate studies and beyond.

We place significant emphasis on this program as it has become one of our strongest talent pipelines. Many Co-op students return to ACCIONA as full-time employees after graduation, continuing their journey with us.

  • Real Project Experience: Opportunities across our head office and major project sites, providing exposure to real infrastructure challenges, innovation, and day-to-day project delivery.
  • Participation in an intensive training program, while discovering how a global company fighting the climate emergency operates by the hand of the best experts
  • Career Fairs & Recruitment: Annual hiring cycle supported by strong relationships with leading universities including the Queen’s University, University of Toronto, and University of British Columbia.

  • Mentorship & Guidance: One-on-one mentorship from experienced professionals who support learning, development, and professional growth.
  • Leadership Development: Eligibility to participate in ACCIONA’s Leadership Excellence Program for emerging talent. Every term, the Leadership Excellence Award is presented to Co-op students, who demonstrate outstanding initiative and innovative problem-solving. Recipients are recognized for developing creative, practical solutions to real challenges within our projects or business areas, reflecting ACCIONA’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

At ACCIONA, we value co-op students who embody a unique blend of qualities that contribute to our dynamic and innovative work environment.
