North Shore Wastewater Plant (NSWWTP) delivers outsized benefits on a compact site

The new LEED Gold and ENVISION Gold facility will serve over 250,000 residents of the District of West Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, City of North Vancouver and Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations.

    While the new plant is expected to fulfill all the duties of a modern wastewater treatment plant, designers are particularly proud of the facility’s novel energy recovery capabilities and low emissions, expecting to reduce greenhouse gases by 75% over the existing plant. A remarkable achievement considering the footprint constraints of its tiny urban site.
